Robert’s Lymphoedema Story

As part of our Lymphoedema Awareness Week (4-10 March 2024) Robert, who has Lymphoedema and has attended the Lymphoedema Service at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity for over 20 years shares his story.
Robert is re-referred when his condition is flaring up, and he needs further expert care and support.
Robert shared:
“I’ve been fortunate in having received excellent care and support from the team at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity for the last 20 years.
Following a procedure to treat breast cancer, I needed help to manage Lymphoedema. The facility and the team at Cambridge made a world of difference.
I look forward to visiting and the team are always friendly, kind and caring.”
Robert added:
“The service is excellent and a chat there cheers you up for the day. The Bistro is very pleasant and when I visit the service, I have a coffee there at the same time.”
We are delighted that our service can support our patients in managing their life-long conditions, and we are grateful to Robert and other patients who have kindly supported this awareness week by sharing their personal experiences.
