Star Shine Night Walk Wisbech
We are pleased to announce our very first Star Shine Night Walk in Wisbech!
Join us on Saturday 17 May 2025 at 7pm to bring the streets of Wisbech alight!

Join us in Wisbech
Join us as we walk together in memory of friends, families and colleagues.
Star Shine Night Walk Wisbech will be a 6km walk that will start and finish in the stunning gardens of Elgood & Sons Brewery.
The Route
The 6km route will take in some of Wisbech’s main attractions, including the North Brink, the Town Bridge, Peckover House and the Clarkson Memorial. You’ll weave your way through the town and around Wisbech Park, before making your way back to the Brewery for some well deserved refreshments!
Behind the North Brink Brewery, you’ll find a beautiful four acre garden incorporating specimen trees as old as the surrounding buildings, herbaceous borders, a lake, rockery, water features, exotic house and herb garden. The garden is no longer open to the public (except for special events) so this is a wonderful opportunity to get exclusive access whilst raising money for the people supported by the Alan Hudson Treatment Centre.
History of Star Shine Night Walk
Our Cambridge event has been successfully growing year on year, with almost 500 participants taking part in 2024. Now is the time to expand our offering to those of you in and around Wisbech who would like to do a walk for the charity more locally.
Registration
Registration is £10 per person and children aged 10 and over are welcome to join in too!
You can even bring your well behaved dogs if you wish!
On the night, you’ll receive a technical t-shirt to walk in, along with a medal when you cross the finish line.
We can’t wait to see you at Star Shine Night Walk Wisbech!
FAQ
When and where is the walk?
The walk will be taking place on Saturday 17 May 2025, starting and ending at Elgood’s Brewery on the North Brink. Walkers will depart at 7pm.
How long is the route and is there a shorter option
The walk is 6km and will take you on a circuit around Wisbech. There is no shorter route available for the Wisbech walk.
How much does it cost?
The cost is £10 per person for both adults and children (aged 10+)
What is included in my registration fee?
As part of signing up for the walk, you will receive a technical t-shirt, a medal to take home with you, along with a hot drink and biscuit upon your return.
Can children take part?
Yes, absolutely! Children between 10 – 15 years of age are welcome to register alongside a paying adult.
What's the dress code?
There’s no dress code, we simply recommend wearing whatever you find comfortable to walk in. Each participant will receive their very own Star Shine t-shirt on the night and we very much encourage anything bright and wacky that will help set the town aglow!
The walk will go ahead come rain or shine, so do keep an eye on the forecast in the lead up to the event and come weather ready!
How many people will be taking part?
As this is a brand new event, the answer is, we don’t know. However, we’d love to see in the region of 200 participants setting the town aglow this year, so sign up now to be one of them!
How can I volunteer on the day instead of walking?
All volunteers are enormously appreciated and help us to make the evening a success.
Please get in contact with the Fundraising Team by emailing fundraising@arhc.org.uk or telephone 01223 675888 if you’d like to lend a hand.
Can I bring my dog?
You absolutely can! We welcome all well-behaved four legged friends on a lead who wish to join the walk with their owners! Dogs must remain outside at all times and please do make sure you pick up any toileting they do on route.
Do I have to fundraise?
Although not compulsory, we really encourage you to fundraise. You can do this as a group if you sign up with family and friends, or individually.
We’ll give you lots of support with fundraising tips and help you set up an online fundraising page so it’s really easy to get started.
Your fundraising will help make a difference to the support people in Wisbech living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care.
What if I can't walk 6km?
We hope that you’ll be able to take part in the 6km route, however, if you feel that this is an unmanageable distance and still want to be there on the night to show your support, then get in contact with fundraising@arhc.org.uk to volunteer to help out and marshal!
Is there parking at the event?
Yes, there is limited parking available so we do encourage car sharing where possible.
Is there someone to buddy with if I come on my own?
Yes, please let one of the team know on the night and we will match you with someone else.

Thank you to our 2025 sponsors
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our venue partner Elgood’s Brewery, and the sponsor of our medals, t-shirts and detachables, Box Cross UK.

Thank YOU
Your support helps to continue supporting people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care, thank you.
