Dive into ‘Mission Mud’ fun for Charity

Get ready to embrace the great outdoors, get muddy, and have an unforgettable adventure to raise funds for people in Cambridgeshire with an advanced serious illness or a life-limiting condition and those in need of end-of-life care.

In 2024, participants conquered The Playground in Waterbeach Barracks and raised over £4,200 for Charity. Mission Mud is returning to the same venue – this time better than ever. Mark your calendars for the afternoon of Saturday 10 May 2025—and prepare to get dirty!

‘Mission Mud’ is a chance to let loose, challenge yourself, with walls to climb, monkey bars to swing from, water pits to splash through, rope climbs, and a ninja warrior-style ramp, there’s something for everyone. Whether you take on one lap or push yourself to do more, it’s all about having a blast while making a difference.

Whether you’re a seasoned tough Mudder pro or just looking for a fun way to get active, Mission Mud welcomes everyone. Bring your kids, your parents, your colleagues—anyone up for a challenge and a whole lot of laughs. One of last year’s participants, eight year old Evie summed it up perfectly:

“I had so much fun! Getting sponsorship for having a great time is a win-win. My favourite bit was being in the mud. I was filthy, but I didn’t mind!”

By taking part, you’re not just conquering obstacles—you’re making a real difference and helping raise vital funds for people in your community. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity cares for more than 3,800 patients each year at their Hospice in Cambridge, the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech and in patients’ own homes across the community and needs to raise over £5.1 million each year to provide services which are free of charge to patients and their families, helping them to make every moment count.

As the entry fee only covers the cost of running the event, it is the valuable sponsorship that will support the future patients and their loved ones, and so they encourage participants to fundraise, with an aim of £40.00 or more in sponsorship, and in return will receive a Charity t-shirt to wear on the day!
