We are delighted to announce that Histon Football Club (FC) is partnering with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity for the remainder of the 2024/25 season and throughout the 2025/26 season.
One of Histon FC’s existing sponsors (who prefers to remain anonymous) has generously funded advertising space on the roof of the dugouts, as well as two matchday sponsorships—one for this season, on 5 April 2025, and another for the following season. This partnership will run until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Jodie Vaughan, Income Generation & Communications Director at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, said
“We are very grateful to Histon FC; players, staff, and fans, for showing their support for our Charity alongside the local business who generously gifted us the use of their promotional space at the grounds.
We are delighted to partner with local organisations across our community to raise awareness of our services and the funds we need to keep them going. This generous support from the club will help us continue the work we do across Cambridgeshire to support people living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who gets involved and the best of luck to Histon FC for the season!”
This partnership is a shining example of how a local organisation can use their platform and network to support the Charity to provide care free of charge across to 3,600 patients and their families every year.
Paul Smart, Finance Director at Histon FC, praised the partnership and said:
“It is through the generosity of a very kind sponsor, we are delighted to support this important charity, which has and continues to provide such wonderful care and support to our community. We look forward to raising much needed funds for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity over the next 18 months or so.”
The dugout boards, which have been designed by Redactive who kindly volunteered their time to produce an eye-catching design, are now in place and look fantastic. Additionally, keep an eye out for posters around the ground, which will provide information on how you can support Histon FC’s fundraiser.
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity will be in attendance and fundraising at the Histon FC vs. G.N.G. Oadby Town match on 5 April 2025. The match will take place at Histon FC’s home ground, Bridge Road Stadium, and kick-off is at 3:00 PM.
Donations will be collected around the ground, and delicious cakes will be available for purchase to support the charity.
For anyone wanting to enjoy the match, tickets will be available for purchase on the day. Histon FC and Arthur Rank Hospice Charity have teamed up to create a fun-filled day with the chance to fundraise while enjoying the match. Invited guests of ARHC, who are family members of a patient who received ARHC’s care, will help choose the Player of the Match as well as being treated to viewing the match from the Box.
Both Arthur Bear and Histon Hound will also be there to add excitement, so keep your eyes peeled to see what they get up to.
A big thank you to Histon Football Club, the team, and the fans for supporting the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in making every moment count in Cambridgeshire. To contribute to Histon FC’s fundraiser, please visit arhc.enthuse.com/cf/histonfc.
